Meeting Schedule

Monthly Meetings are held the third Tuesday of every month (excluding June through August) on the campus of Georgia Tech in the IPST building located at the corner of 10th street and Hemphill Ave.

Directions to IPST

From the Airport or I-75/I-85 Northbound

Take I-75/I-85 North to Exit 250 (Tenth Street - Fourteenth Street - Georgia Tech). Turn left at exit light

on Tenth Street. Go about 3/4 mile. Just after you cross Hemphill Avenue, the parking entrance for

IPST's main location will be on your left. The building is located at the corner of Tenth Street and

Hemphill Avenue.

From I-75 or I-85 Southbound

Take I-75 south to Exit 250 (Sixteenth Street - Fourteenth Street - Tenth Street), or take I-85 south to

Exit 84 (17th Street - 14th Street - 10th Street). Follow the signs south on Techwood Drive to Tenth

Street. Take Tenth Street westbound (turn right). Go about 3/4 mile. Just after you cross Hemphill

Avenue, the parking entrance for IPST's main location will be on your left. The building is located at the

corner of Tenth Street and Hemphill Avenue.

Our December meeting is a "bring the family" meeting. This meeting is geared towards allowing the spouses, kids or non-materials friends of our members to discover materials science in a fun and "non-academic" environment. Previous events have included a private tour of a railway museum, private tour of a micro-brewery, and a presentation/demonstration on forensic sciences.

The meetings follow this basic outline:

Student Presentation	7:30 PM
Featured Presentation	7:45 PM
Meeting adjourns by	9:00 PM

Meal Costs:

Regular - $20.00 (waived if unemployed)

Student - $6.00

There is no charge to attend just the presentations (i.e., no eat - no pay).

We kindly ask that you R.S.V.P. to Marlene White (Voice: 404-894-2850; Fax: 404-894-9140) if you plan on attending the meal. Also, if you do RSVP that you will be attending, please actually attend the meeting as we must pay the caterers based on the head count we give them before hand.

Also, the chapter will hold "field trips" to relevant sites of interest. Again, please verify with the most recent newsletter the exact location of the meeting.
